Why do they even bother? Health Inspectors Motivation. by Administartor
You ever wonder what the heck the Health Inspector is thinking? Why does it bother him that their is rust on your shelf? Honestly now its not like you prepare food on that shelf. You just put your cans there. There is no way that rust gets into your food because you open that can and scoop the food out from the top while there may be specs of rust on the bottom of the can there is no way you are getting that rust in to your food right?
Simple reason? They can. They have supervisors too. It is their job. You think their managers will be happy when they found out the health inspectors have not found a single problem at the end of the month. Of course not. No they don't have a quota but I doubt they can go back to the office empty handed too. Health Dept. correction sheet is like getting a fix-it ticket. You fix it and pay a small fine(sometimes).
So whats the best way to avoid and take care of the Health Inspector. After all at the end of the day you just want to be able to run your Restaurant and do your job while the Health Inspector does his. Be nice & cooperative show the inspector that you respect them. Let them know that you are willing to make whatever changes they suggest. That it is very important for your restaurant to maintain proper health standards because you care. There is simply nothing worse then non-challant owners/managers. Blatant disrespect for the health inspector is only going to make things worse.
Next time I will list a few things that you can take care of a head of time. Health inspectors want to feel like that you understand their cause, and you are trying your very best to adhere to their corrections. Have a great day and check out our spring sale offer.
